This years¢¥s German SCIP/dcif (www.dcif.de) annual conference will take place November 15-16 in Dresden, at the Hotel Hilton, in cooperation with the Technical University of Dresden. Preceeding workshops on November 13-14 will be organized by the Institute of Competitive Intelligence (ICI) (www.competitive-intelligence.com). Looking back at the great success of last year's annual meeting in Kloster Andechs, the organizers (headed this time by Dr. Lothar Simon, eidon GmbH) have a number of stimulating surprises. For the first time, a two-day conference with German and English contributions will be offered. The conference committee invites your proposal submissions for the following tracks:
1. Track's "Industries"- Semiconductors and electronics
- Pharma
- Automotive
2. Tracks "International"- Best Practice in international CI
- Software supported solutions 1: simple, fast-to-praxis, low-budget, e.g. open-source, solutions
- Software supported solutions 2: complex solutions for medium to long-term introduction
- CI in Eastern Europe: Highlighting the differences in how-to-do-CI in Eastern Europe
- CI in Western Europe and in the USA: Highlighting the differences in how-to-do-CI
3. Tracks "Special Session"- Psychology of CI
- Implementation of CI-programs in organizations
- CI in Government and Municipalities
Per track, a maximum of three speakers are planned. For total time per slot, 90 minutes can be allowed (i.e. 30 or 45 minutes per speaker including discussion).
Special calls for Scientific Research in CI and pre-conference workshops are announced on the dcif website. Presentations can be either made in German or English. If you are interested, please, send a proposed summary of your contribution to friesen_hj@email.de by July 1, 2006. The conference organization committee will select speakers by ¡°blind review¡± before August 1, 2006.
Speakers' benefits (details are in a speaker¢¥s contract, which is available on request)- Free admission to the conference including meals and receptions.
- Up to Euro 250 reimbursement (when traveling from within Germany) or Euro 500 (when traveling from abroad).
- One free night in the Hilton or nearby hotel before or after the conference.
- Opportunity to promote and possibly sell any publications or articles authored or co-authored by the presenter in the conference bookstore.
